Priorities


My top priority in the legislature has been to restore the path to economic security for the working families and the middle class. I pledge to continue my work to ensure that working families have good paying jobs, healthy and high-quality schools, safe neighborhoods, and access to affordable healthcare.

Economy

  • Re-introduce my Buy American legislation to invest more in American workers and American businesses
  • Lower property taxes for working families, small businesses, and senior citizens by closing corporate tax loopholes
  • Reduce wait times for unemployment insurance by cutting red tape

Public Safety

  • Re-introduce my Safer Wisconsin legislation to provide a comprehensive approach to ensuring public safety
  • Promote safe, healthy neighborhoods throughout our community
  • Secure resources for our first responders to keep our community safe
  • Support criminal justice reform that addresses racial disparities
  • Provide a criminal justice system that is safe, modern, and fair

Education

  • Ensure our schools have the resources to keep our children and teachers safe
  • Provide high-quality public schools for our children
  • Support the UW System, technical colleges, and apprenticeship programs in preparing students for their careers

Health Care

  • Reduce the price of prescription drugs for our senior citizens
  • Ensure access to affordable health care by accepting the federal health care dollars
  • Provide protections and health care opportunities for our frontline workers and first responders
